First Aid Kit Contents
Aconite For fevers which come on suddenly, or any acute condition that comes on suddenly because of exposure to cold winds.
AGE 30c Combination remedy for colds and flu. One dose every two weeks will reduce the incidence of colds and flu.
Arnica 30c For shock, emotional or physical: If given at the onset of stroke, it can help to prevent worsening. The tincture is useful to apply topically to bruises, sprains and blows, but never use it where the skin is broken.
Apis 30c For bee stings and hives. Belladonna For feverish conditions more violent than Aconite: Red, dry, hot, painful head and throat that is worse from light, noise, and jarring.
Bryonia for cough, headache, dry mouth, hemorrhaging, diarrhea
Calendula Tincture is an excellent antiseptic, healing tincture made from the herb calendula C. officinalis. It is useful for bathing cuts and wounds. As a wound dressing, dilute one part in 10 with cooled, boiled water, soak a dressing with the solution, and then apply
Castor oil is useful for healing, massage, and burns.
Chamomilla Children during teething who are irritable and grizzly. Stomach upsets; client is better from being carried.
Cocculus 30c Nausea, vomiting, travel or motion sickness, morning sickness, and stomach upsets:
Cocculus is also good for a mother who has been up all night, or for exhaustion.
Comfrey Ointment For all wounds, sprains, broken bones, and bruises.
Dock leaf Use after getting stung by Nettle
Hypericum 30c Indicated where there have been injuries to nerves, torn nails, all spinal injury, and extensive laceration:
Hypericum tincture can be used topically for wounds that are infected. Never use calendula C. officinalis on a septic wound, as it will stimulate tissue growth before the infection has cleared, and, possibly, drive the infection deeper.
Hypercal A blend of hypericum and calendula C. officinalis tinctures for cuts and wounds.
Ledum 30c For deep bruising and punctured wounds.
Nux vomica Stomach upsets from overeating: Irritable, bad-tempered clients, effects of overindulgence in alcohol, drugs, and tobacco, stuffy head colds, sleeplessness, and an overactive mind.
Oil of Clove Wonderful for toothache: Apply one drop to a cotton ball and hold onto the tooth or area.
Plantain leaf Use for bites, cuts, stings, abrasions
Rhus tox 30c Sprains, strains, and effects of overexertion: For exposure to cold, wet conditions. Simple rheumatism. There is restless and pain if the affected part is kept moving.
Ruta grav Use for twisted and sprained wrists and ankles; injuries to bony parts of the body; and for eyestrain and neuralgia, burning eyes, and dim vision.
Rescue Remedy A Bach flower useful with shock, panic, and unconsciousness.
Symphytum 30c Use for fractures, black eyes, bruising, and bone injuries.
Urtica urens 30c Useful for superficial burns, scalds, nettle-like rashes, and mild sunburn: The tincture is a useful topical application for all of these conditions.
Vitamin E Cream Use to help heal wounds and cuts, and to minimize scarring.
Witch Hazel Extract will reduce bruising and will counteract bleeding when used topically.
Yarrow use to stop bleeding
Clean the area with distilled water. Or you can boil and cool water, then clean the area.
Apply Calendula, Hyericum, or a mix of the two (Hypercal) tincture.
Arnica 30c is good if there is bruising or soft tissue damage
Calendula 30c orally as well as the topical tincture to speed healing
Hypericum 30c for nerve pain
Apply dried Yarrow to stop bleeding
Apply a plantain leaf to cuts to help heal. Chew on a plantain leaf to release the oils. Spread over cut.
Cuts & Abrasions
Burns
1st degree (skin is red and stinging. Scalded)- immediately run under cold water until burning stops.
Urtica Urens 30c can be given orally. Nettle tincture applied topically. Use 1 part tincture to 4 parts water.
Once the burning is gone, apply lavender and vitamin E oil
Aconite 30c can be given for fast rising temperature
Cantharis 30c for sunburn (may also use aloe vera plant applied to burned area)
Causticum 30c for the pain of burns, old burns, and scarring
2nd degree (skin is blistered)- Requires specialized care. While waiting for help, immediately run under cold water.
Patient will be in shock so use Arnica 30c or 200c every few minutes
3rd degree (skin is badly blistered. The underlying tissues are affected)- call for help immediately. While waiting for help, plenty of fluid should be given. Use two teaspoons of salt to every two pints of water until help arrives.
Bites & Stings
Mosquito bite: Allium cepa tincture can be applied locally; and Apis 30c can be given orally.
Bee sting: With rapid burning, stinging, and swelling, Apis 30c or Belladonna 30c
Once the sting is removed (by scraping out rather than squeezing out), U. urens tincture or St. John’s wort H. perforatum tincture can be applied directly;
If the sting is relieved by cold applications, use Ledum 30c
If a reaction to a bite or sting is severe, then an immediate dose of Ledum 200c is recommended.
Wasp sting: Wasp sting: Arnica tincture topically and Ledum 30c or 200c orally
If you are near a plantain patch, grab a leaf, chew on it, and apply to bite or sting. This will help draw out toxins and stop the itching.
Stroke or CVA (Cerebral Vascular Accident)
A stroke is a blood clot in the brain that creates a reduction in oxygen to the brain. This can cause damage to the brain. Quick care can help reverse damage done by a stroke.
Some signs of a stroke include: slurred speech, drooping jaw, blurred vision, paralysis, falling.
If you suspect someone is having a stroke: Ask the individual to smile; Ask him or her to raise both arms; and ask the person to speak a simple sentence (coherently) such as, “It is a beautiful day today.” If they have trouble with any of this call for help immediately.
While waiting for help:
Give Arnica 200c immediately and every five minutes, and follow recommended first aid procedures, such as clearing airways and laying the person in the recovery position (if appropriate); and
If the person is unconscious or severely disabled, with a very flushed face, and extremely noisy breathing (cheeks puffing in and out), then Opium 30c should be given.
If a client is unconscious, remember you can apply the remedy to the gums or, if necessary, the wrists.
Chilblains
Chilbains is small, itchy spots on the skin due to a reaction to severely cold temperatures. Women, underweight people, and those with Raynaud's phenomenon are at increased risk of Chilblains.
Calcarea carbonica, particularly if chilblains are relieved by applications of cold and if the feet feel damp and cold
Pulsatilla if chilblains are worse from heat and from letting the foot hang down.
Pulsatilla is also indicated if the client craves air and is tearful or irritable
Nux vomica is indicated for a thin, tense, irritable client when there is a lot of burning and itching with a lot of cracks and splits in the area of the chilblain
Topical applications that can help are calendula tincture or cream and ruta tincture or cream.
Corns & Calluses
Antimonium crudum 30c is given to help soften the corn and reduce pain
Ruta ointment can also be applied directly
Wear proper fitting shoes
Wear protective pads
Use a foot file to remove excess skin
Constipation
Nux vomica is given if there is a lot of straining, even if stools are passed and the bowel still feels full. Nux vomica is recommended when many laxatives have been used in the past and the bowel is lazy, and where a client has a feeling of being bloated, tends to feel the cold, and is somewhat irritable
Sulfur 30c is recommended, where there is frequent urge but minimal stool, the stools are hard, dry, and black, and there is great pain and burning during their passage
Alumina is given where there is an absence of any urge to stool, where the client sits and strains and then passes stools that are either very small and ball-like or very narrow; and
Bryonia is given where the stools are very hard, dry, and black in color, and the client is very thirsty for large drinks of cold water but has a very dry mouth, tongue, and lips.
Coughs
Aconite 30c for dry, spasmodic coughs
Pulsatilla for loose coughs
Ignatia for nervous coughs
Bryonia for dry, hard, irritating cough
Causticum for dry, deep, hollow cough and tickling in the throat
Hepar Sulph for loose, rattling cough where mucous won't come up
Croup
Aconite 30c for short, dry cough or dry, hard-ringing cough. May feel suffocated.
Hepar Sulf for suffocating coughing spells that are worse in dry, cold weather.
Spongia for a noisy, rasping cough without wheezing or rattling sounds. Can wake a child. Gets worse with talking or swallowing.
Iodum for dry, croupy, barking cough with a dry throat. May have hard, tough mucus.
Kali bich for rattling, barking cough. Thick, yellow mucus that is hard to get out.
Crushed fingers
Arnica 30c given immediately
Ruta, hypericum ointment or arnica tincture applied topically
Cramp
Spasm in the muscle. If this is a constantly recurring issue it needs to be seen by a specialist.
Calcarea carbonica 30c given morning and night for 1 week.
Pulsatilla 30c given morning and night for 1 week if worse from cold, mental or physical exertion, and if better lying on the painful side.
Cuprum metallicum 30c given morning and night for 1 week
Chicken pox
Topical application of Hypercal tincture
Rhus tox 30c and Belladonna 30c given orally
Don't scratch
Keep cool. Heat and sweat make the itch worse.
Drink lots of fluids. This will help the virus leave sooner
Rubbing honey on the spots has helped relieve itching and to heal quicker
Diarrhea
Aconite 30c for diarrhea that is brought on by exposure to cold, dry winds, or because of fright
Aloe 30c for diarrhea that is preceded by colicky pains, with an urgency to go to the toilet immediately following food or drink. Watery, gassy stool.
Arnica 30c for diarrhea brought on from shock or injury
Arsenicum album for severe diarrhea from contaminated food. Usually associated with vomiting, severe prostration, restlessness, and anxiety. Generally with Arsenicum, there is a desire for hot drinks. Burning in anus.
Bryonia for profuse diarrhea that comes on early in the morning and is generally the result of eating unripe fruit
Chamomilla for diarrhea that is associated with teething in babies. The stools are generally slimy and grass-green, contain particles of undigested food, mucus, and blood, and have a sulfur smell
China for debilitating, but painless diarrhea that can have an offensive smell. Often from overeating fruit or being chilled in the summer. Yellow, watery stool.
Nux vomica for diarrhea from overeating, where someone is worse in the morning and particularly after a big meal, there is temporary relief after passing of stool
Pulsatilla for diarrhea at night that comes on from taking cold drinks, nervousness, or rich foods (such as pastry).
Earache
Aconite for earache that has an acute onset, violent pain, and is relieved by local application of heat
Belladonna for throbbing pain, often on the right side, with a red-hot face but heat actually gives relief. The least movement aggravates the pain. Pains shoot down to face, chin, teeth and neck.
Chamomilla, where the pain is worse from the application of heat. Pains can be very severe. Very acute pain. Hot red ears. One cheek may be red and the other pale.
Hepar sulf for frequent pain and sore throat that is worse by the least draught. It may start in the left ear and spread to the right
Pulsatilla for earache brought on by being chilled when hot, or after getting wet, and may accompany an infectious fever. The pain is made worse from heat. Ear is hot, red, and swollen.
Plantain Plantago major (L.) tincture (prepared from common plantain) may be dropped directly into the ear, once it is slightly warmed.
Eye irritation
Allium cepa 30c is suggested where the eyes are streaming and is associated with a lot of sneezing
Apis for puffy eyes. Red, swollen, stiff eyelids. Hot, watery tears or pus.
Belladonna when there is sudden onset. Dry, burning eyes.
Euphrasia when the eyes water all the time and there is a burning, acrid discharge, and constant blinking
Pulsatilla when there is a profuse yellow discharge from the eye, which is worse in a warm room, and the lids are sore
Euphrasia (Eyebright) for profuse, acrid, hot tears. Leave a trail on the cheeks.
Can bathe the eyes with an Eyebright tincture or St John's Wort. Dilute 2 drops tincture into 1/4 cup purified water. Bathe eyes in dilution.
Eye Injury
Hypericum tincture: 10 drops to one cup of cold water, and then a moist cotton wool pad placed over the eye
Arnica 200c can be used orally.
For pain Hypericum 30c can be given in frequent doses until the pain is relieved
Aconite can also be used. If there is dust or a foreign body in the eye, bathe the eye with diluted Hypericum lotion or Euphrasia. For a black eye, give Arnica 30c or Ledum 30c.
Eye Strain
Colon causticum: Dim vision with a film before the eyes, a feeling of wanting to close the eyes, and that the lids are heavy and weak eye muscles
Gelsemium: Dim vision with sore eyeballs, particularly when moving them, drooping eyelids that feel very heavy, and possible double vision; • Natrum muriaticum: The eyes feel that they are going to give out while reading or sewing, and letters or stitching can actually run together; the eyeballs feel too large, and objects feel ringed with jagged lines. The lids can feel gritty
Phosphorous: Vision is obscured by a mist, film, or veil; there are often black spots before the eyes; eyes tire easily; and vision is generally better when shading eyes with the hand
Ruta: Weak vision with blurring, and eyes that ache when they are used, and feel hot and burning (particularly in the evening); the eyes water and there is often spasm of the lower lids.
Aching Feet
Arnica
Rhus tox
Ruta grav.
Fractures
Arnica 200c given in one or two doses, followed by Arnica 30c or Ledum 30c, two or three times a day for a few days to help absorb blood and reduce swelling.
Symphytum 6x or 30c should be given once a day for two weeks to improve knitting of the bone.
Hay Fever
Allium cepa for streaming eyes and nose, sneezing which becomes more severe and increases in frequency; it is much worse indoors, in the morning, and from contact with flowers
Arsenicum album where there is violent painful sneezing and/or profuse watery discharge that can burn the upper lip. Worse from change in the weather, restlessness, and worry
Dulcamara where the nose is stuffed up with constant sneezing, nose and eyes stream, the eyes can swell in water and then the nose runs; it is much worse in the open air from damp, from being chilled when hot, and contact with newly cut hay
Euphrasia where there is a lot of sneezing and a bland discharge from the nose; it is frequently complicated by a hard, dry cough, and much worse in the open air, wind, and from lying down
Gelsemium where there is violent sneezing, a streaming nose in morning, hot and heavy eyes, tingling nose, dry and burning throat, and a pain in the ears when swallowing; the face is hot and is aching all over, with a feeling of heaviness in the arms and legs
Nux vomica where there is prolonged sneezing, the nose is stuffed up at night, there is irritation in the nose, eyes and face, and the client is chilly and irritable
Headache
Aconite for a sudden, violent headache with throbbing in the temple area, first on one side and then the other
Apis for stinging, stabbing, burning, and painful headaches
Argentum nitricum for a headache that is one-sided; the head feels excessively large, and there is a desire for cold air and cold drinks
Belladonna for a bursting headache with violent, throbbing, shooting pains, and a hot, red face with dilated pupils. The scalp is very sensitive and the pain begins and ends very abruptly
Bryonia for a bursting, splitting, crushing headache.
Nux vomica for a splitting headache, as if there is a nail being driven into the skull, nausea, and vomiting
Pulsatilla for a periodic headache from eating rich food or food that does not agree with someone
Feverfew for migraines. Take 100–300 mg, up to 4 times daily
Hemorrhage
Aconite 30c when the blood is a cherry-red color and there is accompanying panic, anguish, and restlessness, and thirst for cold or iced water
Arnica 30c where there is bleeding from mucus membranes or spontaneous bruising after any injury
Arsenicum album 30c if there is restlessness, anxiety, and marked exhaustion
Belladonna 30c when the blood is bright red, hot, and clots readily, where the head is hot, the face is red, and the pulse is full and pounding
Bryonia 30c when the blood is dark and fluid, and there is nausea and faintness, which is made far worse by attempting to sit up. The headache is worse from the least movement. Bryonia is always indicated where symptoms are worse with movement and better from keeping still.
Heatstroke
Heatstroke is a serious condition brought on by exposure to high temperatures. Warning signs are nausea, headache, reduction in sweating. You must lower the temperature with cold water and fanning.
Glonoinum 6c or 30c: Give a few doses, at half-hour or hourly intervals until improvement is noted
Belladonna is also recommended, where there are dilated, fixed pupils, a pounding pulse, burning, hot, and dry skin, and delirium.
Be sure to always carry cold water while out in severe temperatures. Keep hydrated.
Head Injury
Arnica 30c or 200c immediately following any head injury, whether loss of consciousness has occurred or not. Give frequently
Natrum sulfuricum 30c where headaches or other symptoms persist. This remedy has been shown to assist a head injury with concussion that occurred in the past, and it will clear up present symptoms that appear to have a connection with the previous injury.
A Yarrow poultice will stop bleeding.
Herpes Simplex
The drying up of the cold sore will be encouraged by the use of Natrum mur or Rhus tox. These two remedies will also help to prevent the recurrence of fresh eruptions
Herpes zoster or shingles: Apis is for severe outbreaks with a lot of swelling, burning, and stinging of the affected areas
Arsenicum album where there is a severe burning pain, great restlessness, anxiety, and sleeplessness after midnight.
Arsenicum album when drinking very cold drinks brings on a hiccup attack
Ignatia when it is brought on by eating, smoking, or by emotional upset
Nux vomica when the attack is brought on by a digestive disturbance, which can follow either eating junk food or over indulging in alcohol
Pulsatilla when an attack is brought on by drinking cold drinks or by tobacco smoke.
Indigestion
Arsenicum album for a burning pain in the pit of the stomach that comes on quickly after food. The client is worse from the smallest quantity of food, cold drinks, and better from warmth and warm drinks
Bryonia where there is heartburn, hiccups, and thirst for a large quantity of warm drinks
Carbo vegetabilis where there is indigestion with pain and tenderness in the pit of the stomach half an hour after food, and worse from eating even the simplest food; it is better from sitting up and belching
Nux vomica where there is indigestion with heart burn and cramping one to two hours after food, with severe bloating, generally queasy, nausea in the morning with a desire for fat, beer, and brandy, and an aversion to meat, coffee, and tobacco. This person is worse from lack of exercise, loss of sleep, alcohol, coffee, and tobacco, and better from hot food and fluids
Pulsatilla where there is indigestion with a lot of bloating one to two hours after food, and the sensation that you have eaten too much. Worse in a warm room and from warm and rich food in the evening or after supper, and better temporarily from drinking cold things.
Influenza
Arsenicum album where there are streaming eyes and nose, chilliness, and great discomfort.
Baptisia where there is a high fever, a dull-red face, and gastric complications
Bryonia where the client is very hot and dry, is worse from the least movement, and is better from pressure; this client is aching all over with a headache
Eupatorium perfoliatum where there are very severe pains throughout the back and limbs, bursting headache, chills, shivering, and sore eyes
Gelsemium where there are hot and cold chills running up and down the spine, and heaviness and tiredness throughout the whole body. Aches and pains all over and a hard, dry cough
Nux vomica for chills, where the client feels cold in bed and the least movement or exposure intensifies the feeling of cold, associated with stomach upset and nose stuffed up at night
If you are exposed to someone with influenza, taking Gelsemium 30c, three doses over a 24-hour period can be effective
Insomnia
Aconite where the person is kept awake by the sensation of fear, panic, shock, or fright
Arnica where sleep is prevented by being over-tired, either physically or emotionally, and where the bed feels extremely hard
Arsenicum album for insomnia, where the person has to get up and walk the floor, worse after midnight, restless and anxious
Belladonna when the person is sleepy but unable to sleep. Children toss about and kick the bedclothes off, and there is restless sleep with anxious dreams
Chamomilla for insomnia with restlessness, especially in the first part of the night, when the person gets up and walks the floor
Coffea cruda for insomnia, where the person is totally awake and with an active mind (the result of sudden news, either exciting or distressing)
Nux vomica for insomnia after emotional strain or overindulgence. Wakes feeling tired and not refreshed, very dreamy, restless sleep; and
Pulsatilla for insomnia with a restless sleep at first, but feeling very hot in bed, having to throw off the covers and sleep with the arms above the head
Measles
Preventative:
Pulsatilla 30c, three doses over a 24-hour period
In the early stages of measles Aconite, Belladonna, or Ferrum phosphoricum can be given
Aconitum at the first signs of measles. Sudden high fever, moaning, restlesness
Apis where there is a high temperature, sore eyes, some ear involvement, and a tearful, irritable child
Belladonna when there is sudden fever, intensely hot sweating, and sore throat
Bryonia where there is a cough, headache, dry mouth, intense thirst for cold water, and feelings of chill
Euphrasia where there is streaming nose and eyes, and moderate fever
Gelsemium with a very high fever, delirium, very dry tongue, and possible convulsions Phosphorus for measles with chest symptoms, where there is a tight chest, cough, and great thirst for cold water, which may be vomited shortly after
Pulsatilla for measles, where the child is very restless and irritable, wants to be constantly petted and taken care of, and troublesome cough, and there is a desire for cool air.
Mouth Ulcers
Borax is used when the mouth is hot and tender, and the ulcers bleed while eating
Mercurius is used when the gums are spongy and bleed easily, and where there is a sweet, metallic taste in the mouth even though the mouth is quite moist
Natrum sulfuricum for sore blisters or extremely painful, sensitive ulcers that are relieved from holding cold fluids in the mouth
Mumps
Preventative remedy if someone is exposed to mumps is three doses over a 24-hour period of Rhus tox 30c or Parotidinum
Aconite and Belladonna, can be used
Carbo veg where there is severe swelling that extends to the jaw, shooting pains in the ears, rattly cough, exhaustion
Pulsatilla when swelling has spread to the testes and breasts. Fever, chills, and thirst. Thick,yellow-green nasal discharge.
Muscle Pain
Arnica, Rhus tox, and Ruta grav can all be used
Cayenne Pepper is great for muscle pain. Add some cayenne pepper to an oil such as Olive Oil. Cayenne salve works great as well.
Nerves
Aconite for acute anxiety, extreme impatience, pain, noise, and music intolerance
Argentum nitricum for fear and apprehension of all sorts of situations, and conditions such as: Fear of heights, crowds, closed spaces, water, and stage fright
Causticum for the effects of grief or worry
Chamomilla for intolerance, extreme restlessness, an “everything is wrong” feeling, and temper
Gelsemium where the client is depressed (possibly follows an illness, such as the flu), listless, or has apprehension before an ordea
Ignatia for the effects of sudden shock or stress, depressed and irritable, alternate moods, dwelling on sorrows, or cannot forget
Nux vomica for the chilly, tense, active person who is quarrelsome, critical, hypersensitive, and exasperated by trifles
Pulsatilla for the effects of bad news, anxiety, and emotional upset in mild, touchy, and weepy types of people
Nettle Rash
Apis 30c or Urtica urens 30c can be used
Wash with soap and water. Apply crushed Plantain leaf to rash
Dock leaf- crush a leaf to release the oils. Apply to rash immediately.
Nose Bleed
Aconite, Arnica, Calendula, and Ledum can be used
Yarrow- crush the leaves. Shape into a nose plug shape and insert into nostril until bleeding stops. Remove plug.
Post Operative Pain
Arnica (reduces bruising and swelling, improves wound healing, stops bleeding). Take up to 2 weeks post op.
Hypericum- remedy for shooting, stabbing, unbearable pain.
Hemorrhoids
Aloe, Hamamelis, or Nitricum acidum where there are piles with bleeding and soreness
Ledum where there is a tendency to prolapse, with severe pain
Paeonia or Silicea are also recommended
Ringworm
Undiluted Hypercal tincture can be applied topically
Aloe vera can treat the ringworm. It may soothe symptoms of itchiness, inflammation, and discomfort
Skin infection
Antimonium crudum for infections, such as impetigo, warts, corns, and eruptions with pus
Arsenicum album for scaly eruptions that burn and itch
Graphites for eruptions that weep a sticky, honey-like liquid with general dryness and roughness of the skin
Hepar sulf for sores, which fester easily and are sensitive to the least touch
Sulfur where there is intense itching, which is worse from heat
Rhus tox, where there is itching and burning with the formation of blisters and swelling
Sore Throat
Aconite for a dry, burning, and tingling in the throat that comes on suddenly after exposure to cold wind
Apis where there are burning, stinging pains in the throat that are worse from heat and the client is not thirsty
Belladonna for a dry, burning throat with a bright-red tongue, red-hot face and skin, and dilated pupils
Causticum for a burning pain in the throat that is sore and raw; the throat feels constricted, and there is a lot of swallowing and hoarseness that is relieved by coughing up mucus
Gelsemium for a sore throat that develops several days after exposure, usually in warm, moist weather. Lassitude, heaviness, generally not thirsty
Hepar sulf for a sore throat that is accompanied by a cold; there may be a sensation of something stuck in the throat and pain on swallowing, which shoots from the throat into the ears. Very irritable and sensitive to the least cold draft.
Manuka Honey helps relieve pain from a sore throat. It is also an antibacterial and helps soothe inflammation.
Spinal Injury
Arnica 200c should be given immediately following any accident; this can be followed by Hypericum 30c, two to three doses, for two days
Sprains
Immediately following an accident, give Arnica 30c every hour, five or six times, followed by Rhus tox 30c, two to three times a day or until better
Bryonia for acute sprains. Hot, red, swollen joint. Sensitive to pain. Must lie down.
Ruta- strains or pulls where ligaments and tendons attach to the bone. Bruised, aching soreness.
Calc fluor for recurrent, acute sprain or dislocation. Burning, grinding pain.
Strontium carb for tearing or deep bone pain.
Tetanus
Hypercal tincture, Ledum, Hypericum, and Stramonium 200c can be used
1000mg of Vitamin C daily can help prevent tetanus.
Toothache
Arnica for pain in the tooth after a filling
Belladonna for throbbing pain with a dry mouth
Chamomilla for unbearable pain that is made worse on contact with cold air
Coffea for toothache that is made worse by heat and hot drinks, and temporarily relieved by ice water in the mouth Hepar sulf where the teeth are very sensitive to touch, and gums are sensitive and bleed easily
Mercurius where there are tender teeth, gums are receding and bleed easily, and the pain is worse at night
Plantain P. major for toothache, where the teeth are sensitive to the least touch and worse from contact with the cold air, but better temporarily while eating
Pulsatilla where toothache is unbearable and made worse by heat and hot fluids, and better when holding cold water in the mouth; the client has a dry mouth and no thirst.
Travel Sickness
Borax is useful for air travel, where there is a fear of downward motion
Cocculus for nausea that is associated with food
Nux vomica for a headache
Petroleum for persistent nausea, which is worse from light or noise
Rhus tox is particularly valuable for air travel, where there is nausea and vomiting, followed by a complete loss of appetite and an unquenchable thirst
Tabacum for nausea and giddiness, which is made worse by the least smell of tobacco smoke
Vaccine Side Effects
Arsenicum for the poisonous effects of vaccines.

Thuja for ongoing illness after a vaccine. Restlesness, insomnia, loss of speech, migraine, ashtma, brain damage
Warts
Antimonium crudum for very hard warts, warts under and around fingernails and toenails, warts on top of hands and feet
Causticum large, fleshy warts that tend to bleed. Painful and sensitive to touch
Dulcamara large, fleshy warts. Inflamed. On palms, fingers, arms, back of hands
Thuja tincture cracked, oozing warts. Important for tendency to warts, growths, and benign tumors. Used topically twice daily
Whooping Cough
Drosera and Belladonna for whooping cough, where there is stomach pain and aggravation by cold
Bryonia where there is coughing and vomiting
Drosera can be used as a preventative remedy if someone has been exposed to whooping cough, three doses of 30c over a 24-hour period.
